Fairmount Minerals office building, just outside of Menomonie on Hwy 29, received their LEED Gold Certification as of April 30, 2009

This is a great achievment as this will make Menomonie’s first LEED certified new construction building. This is history in the making for sustainable construction in Dunn County and for Cedar Falls Building Systems. www.cfbsi.com
Construction of the office building started in September of 2007 while the mining project for Fairmount Minerals was just getting underway. Christian Peterson, project manager for Cedar Falls Building Systems, worked alongside Fred Mueller from Fairmount Minerals and consultants from Madison Environmental Group to achieve this great achievement. LEED is not easy to achieve.
